Hi, Jesus loves you

“You’re never a loser until you quit trying” – Mike Ditka. Are you in the valley of decision right now – to quit or not to quit? Perhaps you think you can’t hold on a little longer in the midst of a storm. I have good news for you – what you are going through now SURELY is temporary. This post gives you reasons not to quit.

Why not to quit

1. You are not made a loser

When you look at yourself in the mirror, what do you see – a loser? I tell you, not at all. God made you the head and not the tail. Also, He said you are above only and not beneath, (Deuteronomy 28:13). Quitting is the attribute of losers. Shake of the loser’s thoughts and do not quit.

    2. Your challenge is common to man

You are not the first; neither will you be the last to experience such an issue. I Corinthians 10:13 tells us that it is common to man and that God knows that you are able to handle it. That is why He allowed it to come to you in the first place. To quit is not to maximize the ability you have within you. Many people are successful (and we look up to them) because they overcame obstacles and decided not to quit half way.

    3. Somebody is waiting for you to succeed

Can you boldly and confidently answer or advice anybody who finds himself or herself on the same path you trod and quit? 2 Corinthians 1:4 encourages us not to quit in the midst of a storm so we can comfort others with the same comfort we will receive from God. Furthermore, the technologies we celebrate today are results of tireless works of men and women whose anchor words were “Do not quit”. Some of them worked against the acceptable laws and theories of their time. Today, they are celebrated. That can be your story too.

    4. Quit now and keep quitting

If you are still wondering whether to quit or not to quit, know that if you quit today, you will quit tomorrow. As Vince Lombardi said, once you learn to quit, it will become a habit. Quit once and your mind will be ready to shut down any time it encounters difficulty. This is the mindset of losers. A wise man said, “Let your mind sweat and it will bring out sweet”

    5. Your enemies are waiting for you to quit to rejoice

There are people who want you to give up. Why allow them to rejoice over your failure? Be like Nehemiah (Nehemiah 4) who refused to satisfy the wicked desire of Sanballat and Tobiah. They wanted him and the other Jews to stop building the walls of Jerusalem. Nehemiah and his men chose not to quit, instead they devised a way of protecting themselves while building the walls.

    6. You are never alone

When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee – Isaiah 43:2 (KJV) God is always there with His children, no matter the challenge they may be facing. He will never leave nor forsake them in the midst of a storm. He is there to help them emerge as winners not losers. Hold unto God; trust His wisdom words (scriptures) and you will see that situation turn around for your good.

    7. Joy certainly comes in the morning

Weeping may endure for a night but joy surely will come in the morning (Psalm 30:5). As night certainly gives way to morning after some hours, so also your weeping must surely give way to joy. To quit is to never see the morning of that issue, the end of that challenge. Instead it will last forever.

Now that you have reasons not to quit in the midst of a storm, are you still in the valley of decision – to quit or not to quit? I have this unknown author quote in conclusion to share with you and that is, “there’s only one thing that can guarantee our failure, and that’s if we quit.” The choice is yours today.

What other reason can you share with us here?
