——————————————————————————
It is not conceited (arrogant and inflated with pride); it is not rude (unmannerly) and does not act unbecomingly. Love (God’s love in us) does not insist on its own rights or its own way, for it is not self-seeking; it is not touchy or fretful or resentful; it takes no account of the evil done to it [it pays no attention to a suffered wrong]. – 1 Corinthians 13:5 (AMP)
Every success story starts with a relationship. You need people to be successful in life. The key to your success or failure is your ability to build and maintain quality relationship in all areas of your life. However, a word of caution here: no two persons are the same, everyone is unique. Therefore, it is important that you relate to individuals according to your knowledge of them.

7 Learn the act of applying brakes
If you believe in that relationship you will not be in haste. Building quality relationship demands that you make some sacrifices, including sacrificing time, to really appreciate the person you are relating with. Applying the brakes will uncover certain traits in the person that will enhance success for you; that you will miss if you are in a hurry. And you will have a better opinion about that person.
8 Practice not judging others
Being judgemental is detrimental to any success story. No one enjoys being judged by others. You are human with both faults and good qualities, so also your friend, spouse, colleague, etc. By avoiding being judgemental in your daily life, you will attract comments, suggestions and ideas that will boost your success in life. How To Build Quality Relationship – Part 1
2What effect does your present relationship have on your success story? No relationship leaves you the same way: it builds you up or destroys you, determines your failure or success in life. A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger. A man hath joy by the answer of his mouth: and a word spoken in due season, how good is it! – Proverbs 15:1, 23 (KJV)
How to build relationship of great quality
1. Have a relationship with God
First and foremost, build a relationship with God. How you relate with God determines how you will relate with your fellow human beings. A close walk with God builds you to be like Him: to think, talk and act like Him. A relationship with God is the foundation for any success story. Remember, God is the God of success. This outstanding world we are in is a proof of that.
2. Have an understanding Attitude
There is nobody you cannot relate with. All you need is an understanding attitude. It will help you to avoid any misunderstanding. A good picture of the person you are relating with will determine what you say, when and how you say a thing. Also, it will determine how you act before the person. Every relationship is to benefit everyone involved.
3. Be rational
Emotion, though important to relationships, needs to be balanced with reason. Too much emotion can distort your judgement and consequently your success story. When you balance emotion with reason, you tend to make fewer mistakes in life. (more…)
Keys For Making a Difference in Your World
4I do not want to die…until I have faithfully made the most of my talent and cultivated the seed that was placed in me until the last small twig has grown – Kathe Kollwitz. Making a difference is the desire of many people but the question is how to achieve it. You cannot give what you do not have. Building up yourself, increasing your knowledge and acting on it will increase your chances of making impact in your world. This article gives seven important keys you must possess to make impact around you.
7 impactful keys
1. Confidence
The ability to make a difference starts with you having confidence in yourself and your maker (God). When you don’t believe in yourself, nobody will believe in you. A wise man said,”Confidence is the backbone of conquerors”. Look into God’s word (Bible), believe and declare what He says concerning you. God’s word is able to build you up – Acts 20:32. God did not make you a mediocre or a failure. You are made to succeed and make impact in your world.
2. Excellence
Making a difference requires that you be a person of excellence. It is like a golden apple in the midst of silver apples. It will make you outstanding and draw men to you. Therefore, build up yourself to excel in the area(s) that you desire to be impactful. Daniel excelled greatly as an administrator. His enemies could not find anything wrong in him except that he worshipped the Almighty God (Daniel 6: 1-5). His excellence commanded the attention of Kings (Daniel 1:19-21) and provoked promotion for him.
3. Love
People don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care. For you to make a difference you must be a people lover. Human beings are so selfish in nature that any manifestation of love from someone will make a difference. It will always make impact on the recipient and the people around the recipient. Loving people demands some sacrifice on your part. But any show of love from you will always outlive you. For instance, the love of God for mankind, in that He gave His only son Jesus (John 3:16), is still being celebrated centuries after the death and resurrection of Jesus. (more…)
The Power of Loving Yourself to Enjoy Your Life
2I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well- Psalm 139:14. Loving yourself stems from your understanding of how careful God was in making you. Nothing about your make-up is a mistake, everything is geared towards enabling you fulfil your destiny. When you love yourself, you will enjoy your life daily.
What do you think of yourself? You are what you think of yourself, (Proverbs 23:7). Your thoughts affect your words and actions. Many a time, people look down on themselves, magnify their weak points and ignore their strong points. Some think they are being humble or realistic by doing so, but in actually fact they are depriving themselves the opportunity to enjoy their lives on daily basis.
One thing that can make you not to love yourself is comparison. 2 Corinthians 10:12 says, “…but they measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise.” It is not wisdom to compare yourself with others because you have different purposes and destinies. The power of loving yourself is defeated when you do so. Yes, learn from others and sharpen your skills but be original. You are unique and original!
Some people develop low esteem because they don’t love the way they look. They feel they are too short or tall, too fat or thin, dark instead of fair, have big eyes (like me), not eloquent enough etc. Love yourself, including the way you look and you will bring out the best in you. You are not a mistake but a marvellous piece of God’s creation, fashioned for a glorious purpose. Discover it and enjoy your life daily. (more…)
A Simple Revelation of the Winning Team
2Light or darkness, which one is your choice? These two choices or forces are constantly in a combat with one another for control over human beings. The good news is that the determining factor is actually the human beings. They choose who has control over them. This post is to help you identify the winning team to vote for.
Why are these forces always fighting for the souls of men? This is because men are in search of supernatural powers for protection, powers and wealth. They understand that they need a higher power than what humans can offer. Now, light and darkness are supernatural but one is greater than the other. Examining them closely, you will discover the winning team.
Let’s start by defining the two forces.
Light is something that makes things visible or affords illumination while darkness is absence or deficiency of light. In other words, darkness has no definition of its own but takes its definition in relation to light. Light connotes good, while darkness connotes evil, lack of knowledge or enlightenment and lack of insight.
An understanding of darkness should make anyone choose light but many people would rather go for darkness. Why? Darkness promises and offers so much with little or no effort. But what those people don’t realise is that NOTHING IS FREE! Initially, the cost may be very little but the subsequent cost is more than you can ever bear. Not everything that glitters is gold. The devil (thief) has no good in mind for his followers. His mission is to steal, kill and destroy whatever they have.
Darkness offers immediate gratification but eats up the victim afterwards. Darkness helps people not to be truthful to themselves to their own detriment. It gives them a covering to hide their secrets. I will prove this to you by asking you a question. That thing you don’t want people to ever find out, because the revelation of it may destroy you or someone else, when or where do you do it – under light or in the dark?
Light on the other hand exposes everything done in the dark, no matter how long it had been. Shine light on anything hidden and everyone will see it. A flicker of light drives darkness away. Darkness, once light comes, must give way to light. Darkness wins in any area only because there is no introduction of light, no matter how small. (more…)
