The Power of Speaking Into Your Future

Power of speaking 150x150 The Power of Speaking Into Your Future Hi, Jesus loves you

If you think you can win, you can win. Faith is necessary to victory – William Hazlitt. Our future is determined by what you think, say and do whether good or bad. All three must work together for you to have your future full of better results. The question is – are you engaging ALL THREE and are they faith-based?

Engaging thoughts and actions are not difficult to comprehend and practice but the speaking aspect is usually the missing ingredient. Speaking faith words blends with your thoughts and actions to give you a most successful life.

Do you want to see and experience a most successful month or year? Then you need to start saying so NOW. What you say now determines what you see tomorrow. Mark 11:23 says that you shall whatsoever you say! No one sows an orange seed and reaps a mango fruit. Keeping quiet is the same as sowing nothing and you will at the end reap nothing.

Therefore, if you want success, speak success words and not how everything you are doing is not working. If you want good health, speak health words and not how you always fall sick at the end of every month. Death and life are in the power of the tongue – King Solomon. Speak life that you may live.

The power of speaking faith into your future delivers your heart desires to you. It is not enough to think and act on your heart desires, it is important that you declare it aloud. Say it both to your hearing and to the hearing of anyone who cares to listen. You need to keep saying it until you see it.

As you say these faith filled words, your faith is strengthened. The more you hear them, the more you will believe that they will surely come to pass. This also applies to negative, doubtful and fearful words. The more you hear them, the more you believe they will come to pass. What you believe and say comes to pass. So be careful of what you hear and echo. (more…)

How our words affect the lives of others

Effects of words3 150x150 How our words affect the lives of others

Hi there, Jesus loves you!

Have you ever been commended and how did you feel? Have you ever been insulted and how did you feel? Our words certainly affect others, either for good or bad effects. We can either, build or destroy, gather or scatter, lift or pull down, comfort or discomfort, etc., with our words.

Spoken or written words are vehicles for communication. Communication is the art of passing across news, information, feeling or whatever, to somebody else. Therefore whatever we want to pass across to a person (hatred, love, joy, condemnation, honour, etc.) determines the effect it will have on the person. Also the effects of our words are determined by our state of mind towards the person at a given point in time. Matt 12:34, “…for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.” (KJV). So if you are bitter towards a person, your words will be bitter words and it will have a negative effect on the person.

People are products of the words they heard or read. They cannot go beyond the words spoken into their lives. A child who heard encouraging, loving and positive words will grow up being self confident and successful in life. But a child who heard only negative words of condemnation will grow up being emotionally destabilized. The person’s life can only be changed if he chooses to re-feed himself with positive and encouraging words.

Dr. Ben Carson, Sr., M.D. (an American neurosurgeon and the Director of Pediatric Neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins) is a typical example of effects of words on a person. Sonya Carson (Dr. Carson’s mother) chose to shower her kids, Ben inclusive, with encouraging words in spite of their conditions at that time. And today her son is a product sort after greatly and a person whose story inspires others.

Words can either lead a person on the right or negative path. Many have gone astray, are on the streets or even in the prison because some person(s) were not careful in their choice of words towards them, whereas, there are some persons who will attribute their success in life to the positive words spoken to them earlier in life by some person(s).
