Easter gift 150x150 The Best Easter Gift To Receive And GiveHi Jesus loves you. Compliments of the season

What Easter gift would you love to receive on Easter day? Or what best gift would you love to give on that day? Gifts say a lot when given or received. Therefore, it is important that you make the best choice. This article tells you the perfect gift to receive and give.

But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead; Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification. – Romans 4:24`-25

Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law….That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith- Galatians 3:13-14

But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God- 1 Corinthians 1:24

Easter season is a time to remember the death of Jesus Christ on the cross for our sins and His resurrection for our redemption and justification. It is time to examine ourselves and be sure that His death was not in vain concerning us.

Furthermore, Easter day is a time to celebrate our freedom from the oppressions of Satan. It’s a time to remind the enemy that we are free from his authority and to take back all that he stole from us. Our Lord, Jesus Christ paid the price for whatever we may have owed the enemy. Legally, he has nothing to accuse us of. The blood of Jesus has washed us clean. We have now righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost.

So what Easter gift can you possibly receive and give, that you will consider as the best gift? Jesus Christ! Yes, receiving Jesus as your Lord and saviour if you have not, and giving the same love to another person is the perfect gift for this Easter season. (more…)

Are you ready

How Ready Are You

Are you ready 150x150 How Ready Are YouHi, Jesus loves you

Are you ready for what must surely come? We are always preparing for good or bad consciously or unconsciously. That we will leave this earth one day indeed is a life truth. The question is “how ready are you?
Take us the foxes, the little foxes, that spoil the vines: for our vines have tender grapes – SOS 2:15

Again, When a righteous man doth turn from his righteousness, and commit iniquity, and I lay a stumbling-block before him, he shall die: because thou hast not given him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he hath done shall not be remembered; but his blood will I require at thine hand – Ezekiel 3:20 (Emphasis is mine)

Recently, in one week, I watched 2 programmes talking about people’s readiness for eternity without my planning for it. It got my mind racing. I had to examine and re-examine myself.

In one account, a Pastor died and had the privilege of seeing both heaven and hell. At the end the angel accompanying him told him that, had he not asked for God’s mercy and forgiveness before dying, hell would have been his judgement. The Pastor tried to refute it, claiming to be a pastor and to have preached about heaven and hell. But the angel reminded him that prior to his accident he quarrelled with his wife and did not forgive her.

The life truth is that many people may not have the last minute opportunity to ask for forgiveness before dying like the Pastor. He may have been very ready before the quarrel. Last minute disobedience can cost you a place in heaven. How ready are you?

The second account was a movie, where the princess (the righteous) felt that the prince (Jesus) was long coming back and that he would not fulfil his promise to return and take her to the palace. She decided to go and enjoy herself in the world only for the prince to return and find her already defiled. The prince left her and returned back to his kingdom. (more…)

But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name – John 20:31 (KJV) (Emphasis mine)

Life without Christ is a life with crisis. Life is more than possession of wealth, position or power. Some people who have these and more are still miserable. Some of them even commit suicide. Yet in this life, there are some people who actually enjoy life. What is their secret? It is a life in Jesus Christ.

Having Jesus Christ as your Lord and saviour is the greatest asset one can have in life. It is the right foundation to build on. It is possession of Jesus as your Lord, then other goodies that make life enjoying.

What to enjoy in Christ?

Absolute peace can only be found in Jesus Christ. It is only when you have Jesus that you can be passing through challenges and still have peace. Presently the world is in chaos but believers are in peace. Their faith is in Jesus who takes care of them in every situation and has NEVER failed them.

  • Joy

Life in Jesus Christ is one full of joy that is not dependent on circumstances but on God’s love and supremacy. That is, life bubbling with joy, come rain, come sunshine. To enjoy life is to be rejoicing all the time. This, you can achieve when you are in Christ.

  • Righteousness

Some people desire to live a life without sin but this goal has been far-fetched for them. They make New Year resolutions and fall short of them after a while. Jesus Christ gives you the power to overcome sin. It is practically impossible to live a righteous life without Christ. (more…)

Understanding the Essence of Easter Celebration

Easter celebration 150x150 Understanding the Essence of Easter Celebration Hi, Jesus loves you.

Why do we celebrate Easter day? What is special about Easter celebration? Many people celebrate Easter without understanding the reason behind the celebration. For some people it is just a holiday period while for others, it is a time to rest from the daily hassles of office work, etc. This post is to give you a better understanding of Easter celebrations for long lasting effects.

I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death – Revelation 1:18 (KJV). Easter celebration is all about the death AND the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. Also, Easter day reminds us of and emphasizes our redemptive blessings.

The resurrection of Jesus is the anchor of the Christian faith. The purpose of His death would not have been complete if He did not rise again. Our victory over sin and Satan lies on death and resurrection of Jesus. This wisdom of God totally defeated the enemy. 1 Corinthians 2:7-8 says, “But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.”

The resurrection of Jesus reconciled us back to God (1Peter 1:3) and restored our position in God before the fall of man (Adam). A revelation of this to you will cause you to celebrate Easter day even everyday of your life as a Christian. The devil tried to stop this redemption when he tried to kill Jesus as a baby but failed. It is too late for the devil now. The work of Jesus for our redemption is finished! The long lasting effects of this victory belong to all that accept Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and saviour.

Easter celebration shows our acknowledgement and appreciation of what Jesus suffered and achieved for us. Furthermore, it is a reminder and celebration of the devil’s defeat forever. The devil lost all the power he had over Christians the day Jesus resurrected. An understanding of the devil’s total defeat empowers Christians to challenge the enemy and exercise their authority over him in Jesus name. (more…)

How to Know If You Are a Christian

2

free 2759964 How to Know If You Are a Christian Many people profess to be Christians but their actions are far from what you would expect from a Christian. This gives rise to this question- how will you know a Christian? Also, many teachings in the world now make people to wonder if they are really Christians. This article is to answer these questions.

The apostles were first called Christians in Antioch (Acts 11:26) because they were like Jesus Christ. Therefore, to become a Christian you have to be like Jesus Christ, that is, receiving Him as your personal Lord and saviour. There are 2 major ways of knowing if you are a Christian- internal witness and external witness.

Internal witness

When you give your life to Jesus, the Holy Spirit bears you witness within you that you are a child of God, a Christian (Romans 8:16). Though doubtful thoughts may come through your mind, if you listen deep down within, you will perceive the confirmation that you are a Christian.

External witness

Jesus explained in Mathew 7:20 that we can identify children of God by their fruits, by their character, actions and way of life. What are these fruits? Galatians 5:22-23 gives us these traits: love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance.

Love for God and for people identifies a Christian. Jesus said in John 13:35 that all men will know His disciples/followers by the love they show to one another. You cannot claim to be a Christian when you hate your fellowmen. John said in 1 John 4:20, “If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen” KJV
