God Does Not Forget Heart Desire Asked For

God did not forgetHi, Jesus loves you.

Have you ever asked God to grant your heart desire and it seems as if He wouldn’t answer? Or have you ever wondered if God will ever remember you as He distributes the desire of your heart to others? The good news is that God does not forget whatever you ask Him according to His will. This article is a God story that validates the truth that God can never forget what you asked for according to His will.

Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart – Psalm 37:4 (KJV)

And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him. 1 John 5:14-15 (KJV)

For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise – Hebrews 10:36 (KJV)

Many people pray for their heart desires to be granted but give up on the way if not granted immediately. Doubts and unbelief set in and rob them of their blessings. You are to believe and patiently wait for your heart desire after praying according to God’s will.

God does not forget whatever we asked for in prayers. When your faith is intact, God goes ahead to work it out for you. He does not store prayers but answers them. Sometimes, the answer may not come as you wanted but it will be better than you expected. All the logistics will be settled without stress.

This God story tells of an experience in my life (My steps with God)

When I finished my first degree, my heart desire was to further my education. My husband agreed but with a condition that I will do it from home for some family reasons. Our residence at that time made it almost impossible. (Online course was out of consideration at that time because of the cost implication) The nearest University was in another state and was going to be very stressful attending daily, the traffic was always jammed. Another route that had less traffic had some lonely areas and not safe sometimes. So, I believed God for a job transfer for my husband that will cause our residence to be close to a university.

After six years of waiting, God started a series of event to enable me fulfil my heart desire. The good news is that God does not forget our heart desires that we asked for according to His will!

My former boss’ husband was transferred back to our location again.  (In the organization where my husband works, the wife is given opportunity to work there also if there is any job vacancy for her.)  She introduced me to a professional course in Administration that you can do almost anywhere in the world, as long as there is a centre for you to take the exams. It was so flexible: you can choose which course(s) to do per time and you are given a reasonable period of years to complete all the exams. Exams were taken twice every year with six months interval.

The examination centre offered weekend preparatory classes. At first I chose two courses with classes on Friday evening and Saturday morning, and I would sleep over in my in-law’s house. (The centre was in another state).  The remaining four courses were on Saturdays and Sundays. God prepared ahead of time my colleague to convey me to the classes. He happened to be doing the programme and was offering the same courses at the same time with me. Initially, I wondered how I was going to handle the Sunday classes. If I was to go by public transport it meant no church services for me for a year because of the heavy traffic after the services! But with the help from this colleague, I attended the services. We were saying the closing prayers in the car while driving towards the gate out of the estate, so we were always among the first ten cars to join the major road. And I was able to fulfil my heart desire. God is faithful and does not forget whatever you asked for according to His will.

Financially, God also provided miraculously. The fees were high but God provided throughout the period. The fees were increased greatly yearly at that time. At first I paid for two courses at a time and subsequently one at a time. After two and half years I was done before it became too much to believe God for.

The amazing thing is that, at the time of writing this, my former boss is yet to take one exam! After registration, her husband was transferred to another place and for one reason or the other she couldn’t take the exams. I saw it as God using her to fulfil my heart desire. Also, that colleague of mine, because of work load is yet to finish too. I will forever be grateful to them for yielding to God to help me out. I pray that God will richly bless them.

Good news is that my husband was not transferred until I finished.  Immediately my last result came out he was transferred to another state very far from where we were! Also, I was able to get a job in a big company within the small town there with this new qualification. People were amazed because I got it after 3 months of our arrival and many people had been there expecting such opportunities for years.

For six years, God was working, putting everything in order while I waited, and believed Him to fulfil my heart desire. I wanted to do a Master degree course in Chemistry, but God gave me a professional course recognized worldwide and relevant to what I am doing now.

In conclusion, this God story validates the truth that God does not forget whatever you asked for according to His will. Therefore, be assured that whatever you have prayed for in line with God’s will, God has answered. He is putting everything in shape to manifest it at the right time.  So, I encourage you to remain in faith.

In this era of microwave and instant this and that, patience is one virtue we are fast losing. We easily give up. Thanks for the teaching and reminding us that God does things His own way. He does not change. I am truly blessed.
