What To Do With Your Insufficient Resources

Have you ever desired to have a better means of livelihood but couldn’t pursue it because of insufficient resources? Or do you have a great idea for making money but lack sufficient cash to execute it? Many people are faced with this challenge today; they are sorely constrained by insufficient cash. This article aims at giving you one way to solve this challenge.

Jesus said, They do not need to go away; you give them something to eat. They said to Him, We have nothing here but five loaves and two fish. He said, Bring them here to Me. Then He ordered the crowds to recline on the grass; and He took the five loaves and the two fish, and, looking up to heaven, He gave thanks and blessed and broke the loaves and handed the pieces to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the people. And they all ate and were satisfied. And they picked up twelve [small hand] baskets full of the broken pieces left over – Matthew 14:16-20 (AMP, emphasis mine)

Insufficient resources should not sway you from your God-given ideas. There is a solution to that challenge, it lies in Christ. Christ has the ability and wisdom to multiply whatever that is insufficient. But He must have it first. You need to give Jesus that that is insufficient before He can multiply it. It is a sign of your permission and faith.

The disciples had insufficient loaves and fishes to be able to feed the multitude that was before them. Jesus asked them to give Him the five loaves and two fishes, and when they obeyed insufficiency became a thing of the past. Jesus blessed the insufficient resources and returned them to the disciples, but this time with the ability to multiply and be sufficient. Amazingly, when the multitude ate and were satisfied, the disciples ended up with surplus; what was insufficient before had become overflowing abundance.

So also, when you give Christ that insufficient resource in your hands, He would return it to you by whatever means He chooses, with the ability to multiply.

Another instance of this spiritual principle/wisdom is in the story of Elijah and the Zarephath widow, (1 Kings 17:7-16). The widow had only a bin of flour and a jar of oil enough just for her and her son to eat once. But when she obeyed God and gave Elijah first, the bin and jar of oil did not run dry until the day God sent rain to the earth. The insufficient supply of food was now sufficient to take her through the drought period. Whatever you put in the hands of God never dries up, it always multiplies.

Prove God and He will pour out a blessing for you that you will not have enough room to receive it as He promised concerning tithes, (Malachi 3:10)

Now, for this spiritual wisdom to work you have to take note of the following:

• Your insufficient resources should be given for Kingdom service
• It has to be sown where there is a need, (the disciples needed to feed a multitude)
• It must be done in absolute faith and trust in God and His word.

In conclusion, any time you lack enough resources to carry out your God-given ideas, consider giving it to Christ by faith. He will bless it and return it to you in a multiple form.
