Do you believe that the prophecy will be fulfilled in your life? It is one thing to war with the prophecy and it is another thing to believe that your prayer has been answered. Praying without faith is praying with the expectation that the prayers will not be answered. This post emphasizes that you are to war with prophecies in faith.

This charge I commit to you, son Timothy, according to the prophecies previously made concerning you, that by them you may wage the good warfare, having faith and a good conscience, which some having rejected, concerning the faith have suffered shipwreck – I Timothy 1:18-19 (NKJV).

So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God. For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them – Mark 11:22-24 (NKJV).

Many people pray and cry to God, quote the relevant scriptures, but get up from praying wondering if God will answer them. This thought of theirs cancels out their prayers. Unfortunately, they will not receive their desired answer. Every prayer done with doubt is a prayer not to be answered. Until you believe that you receive them you will not have them (Mark 11:24).

Paul told Timothy to war with prophecies concerning him in faith (1 Timothy 1:18-19). God has declared the prophecies concerning you; now you have to war with these prophecies to see them fulfilled in your life and you have to do so in faith. God is looking out for faith in you to deliver your goods to you (Luke 18:8). Faith is the currency for the transaction between you and God.

Faith is believing in your heart that you receive your answered prayers and saying what you believe with your mouth (Mark 11:22-24). Faith that works is a speaking faith. Until you say it, your faith is not firm. The scripture says that you will have what you say. It is a proof that you actually believe God, that you have faith in God.

Faith is acting on God’s word (Luke 5:5). It is going ahead to obey God’s instruction, even if it doesn’t make sense to you or there are no signs that the word will come to pass. It is holding unto the prophecies till you see their fulfillment in your life.

Abraham was a man who held unto the prophecy concerning his fruitfulness till he received Isaac. His body and Sarah’s body were already very old, but those didn’t stop him from believing God’s word. He didn’t doubt at all even when it lingered on for years, rather he was strengthened in faith, praising God. He was fully persuaded that God was able to perform what He had promised (Romans 4:18-21). Surely, the Lord performed what He promised Abraham by giving him Isaac; though, it took awhile before it was fulfilled.

Therefore, whatever warfare you may be engaged in now, ensure you war in faith and you will receive your answered prayers.

Jesus is Lord!
