Benefits of Walking In the Covenant of Financial Prosperity

Have you ever wondered whether you really need to walk in the covenant of prosperity? Some people think that it is not necessary to tithe and give offering in order to prosper. As much as this may seem true, there are other benefits other than physical cash attached to tithing and offerings? This post points out these benefits of walking in the covenant of financial prosperity.

Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be food in My house, and try Me now in this,” says the Lord of hosts, “If I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you such blessing that there will not be room enough to receive it. “And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, so that he will not destroy the fruit of your ground, nor shall the vine fail to bear fruit for you in the field,” says the Lord of hosts – Malachi 3:10-11 (NKJV).

The blessing of the Lord makes one rich, and He adds no sorrow with it – Proverbs 10:22 (NKJV)

A covenant relates to the agreement between two or more parties, whereby each party has a part to play in order to reap the benefits of the covenant. In the covenant of financial prosperity, it is an agreement between God and His people for financial blessings. Malachi 3:10-11 is an example of such agreement between God and His people. It states what is expected of God and His people for them to enjoy the benefits of the agreement. The man is to bring all his tithes into the house of God and God will release His blessing (benefits of tithing) upon him.

Benefits of walking in the covenant of financial prosperity

1. Abundance of God’s blessing – Malachi 3:10

Tithing provokes God to pour out for you blessing in abundance such that you will not have enough room to receive it. The scripture says that God will open the windows of heaven in order to pour out this blessing. Try and picture how many windows heaven has and their sizes, and then imagine the amount of blessing that will be POURED out from them.

2. Rebuke the devourer – Malachi 3:11

God will not only pour out this blessing for you, but He will also rebuke the devourer for your sake, so that the devourer will not destroy the works of your hands. This ensures that your efforts are never in vain. You will enjoy the fruit of your labour (Psalm 128:2).

3. No sorrow added – Proverbs 10:22

The blessing of God has no sorrow attached to it. It will make you rich and you will not sorrow because you are rich. You can go to bed and enjoy your sleep, wake up and enjoy your day.

4. Seed-time and harvest will not cease – Genesis 8:22

Walking in the covenant of financial blessings ensures that you will always reap a harvest. Genesis 8:22 says that as long as the earth remains, seed-time and harvest will never cease. This means that as long as you sow your seeds, which include tithes and offerings (Malachi 3:8), you will always reap a harvest.

5. Total health, fruitfulness and long life – Exodus 23:25-26

Serving God releases God’s blessing on your bread and water (Riches and wealth), and it also releases total health, fruitfulness and long life. This is total package: Wealth and riches, coupled with good health and long life to enjoy them to the fullest, and then children to join you in reaping the blessings, in other words surrounding you with loved ones to keep you company.

In conclusion, walking in the covenant of financial prosperity doesn’t give you money only, it gives you many other things to make the money meaningful. God is not just interested in blessing you financially, He is interested in your total welfare, and obeying His instructions on tithes and offerings releases the full package of His blessing upon you. Choose not to rob God in tithes and offerings today and the windows of heaven will never cease to pour out blessing for you.
