What Kingdom service are you engaged in within the house of God? Every Kingdom work is important and honourable. There is no small service before God. Every labour in the kingdom leads to high flying with God. This post emphasizes the equality of the less honourable members with others in the house of God. God is mindful of them.
No, much rather, those members of the body which seem to be weaker are necessary. And those members of the body which we think to be less honorable, on these we bestow greater honor; and our unpresentable parts have greater modesty, but our presentable parts have no need. But God composed the body, having given greater honor to that part which lacks it, that there should be no schism in the body, but that the members should have the same care for one another – 1 Corinthians 12:22-25 (NKJV)
Many Christian believers will rather not serve than do what they think is demeaning, unimportant, less honourable or unnoticeable. They want to be noticed and praised by men. They forget that our God, who sees in the secret, sees all and rewards in the open, Matthew 6:4, 18. Also, God does not approve of those who seek praises from men, John 12:43.
Let it be known to you today that God has given greater honour to the services that people are running away from. He has done this so that there will be no division or disunion in the house of Christ, and that members should have the same care for one another. God is mindful of the less honourable members.
God has also proven this in my church. One service that people wouldn’t want to do is the cleaning of the sanctuary, which also includes the toilets and the surroundings of the church (under the sun most of the time). But this service group has the most testimonies shared in my church.
I encourage then that you serve God from your heart no matter the kingdom service you are engaged in. Every labour of love attracts God’s attention any day and anywhere. Do not mind what people will say or not say, do or not do, rather mind what God will say and do. God certainly rewards those who diligently seek Him, Hebrews 11:6.
So, when you are choosing a kingdom service, consider the following:
- Exactly where God has called you to serve
It is important that you identify where God wants you to serve for His glory. This certainly is where you will shine most.
Now, if you are yet to identify your God’s ordained kingdom work or you want to add to it, the next place to consider is evangelism. Every Christian believer is expected to evangelize and the church is expected to do so as a body too. It is a sure service to ensure you have souls to present to God on the day of the Lord.
- Where hands are really needed
God is mindful of the people who do this because every service is geared towards perfection of His will in the church; any deficiency will affect this purpose.
In conclusion, if you are doing what people consider the less honourable service, be reminded today that God is mindful of you and will certainly reward you openly. Do it cheerfully and diligently with all your heart, coupled with faith and your testimony will be the next.
What else are you to consider when choosing a kingdom service?

God bless u mommy, i am really blessed by the message on kingdom service, sometimes we focus on satisfying people than God. I also experienced a situation were i was worried about what my team members would say because i missed our meeting. The message has opened my eyes to see this meeting as an appointment with God not just with my team members and i should be committed because i am doing it for the Kingdom God.
I thank God that this post ministered to you. May God multiply His grace upon your life in Jesus name.
Dear Ngozi,
Thank -you for your e-mail and these post. I am touched beyond believe. I separated today to be with the Lord concerning many heart issues as well as my hidden ministry . I am a support for my home – a christian homemaker and the work of my husband ministry in the background. Many a time the enemy bombard my mind with lies that I am not doing anything useful or worthy . Today I prayed to God to speak to m,y heart from any source to concerning my hidden ministry and my service to my family. Your devotion came in season and blessed me. I will continue to service my home and church, I love to do it, but today the joy is multiplied because Jesus approves it. I am encouraged and this devotion has pulled me out of a potential rut. I will share it with others. Thank-you and may God bless the work and multiply you and your family in Jesus’name,
God bless
Mary

Thank you for the message about the service in the house of God. I have been serving God through cleaning the Church yards and was about to give up because I was feeling less appreciated. But today I learnt it’s not about men, it’s about God. I believe God’s grace is upon me and I shall see his hand one day.
Hallelujah!
Thanks Tinomutenda for sharing this.
God will surely manifest Himself in your life in Jesus name.
God bless you.
Thanks and God bless you ma. I needed an answer to these to speak to my group and I got it clearly.
Glory to God!
