Market the one you love

Hi, Jesus loves you

Do you really love Him? Many times we profess how we cannot live without our lover but to tell people about this lover, we shy away from it. We can say so many things about other people and things but not our beloved. This post aims at encouraging you to market the one you love.

looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God – Hebrews 12:2 (NKJV).

Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen – Matthew 28:19-20 (NKJV)

Sometime ago, I wanted to market a product to a lady and she said something profound, “If all Christian marketers will market Christ the way they market this product and other network marketing products, this world would be a changed place.” It got me thinking, how we can boldly and shamelessly market many things but the one we love. Why is it hard?

Yes, you market these other things and people for money, because you need to eat, clothe your body, take care of your family and pay your bills. However, marketing Christ does not really physically put money in your pocket.

Nevertheless, if you truly love God you will obey His commandments – John 14:15. And one of His commandments is that you should go and make disciples of all nations, and teach them to observe all that He commanded – Matthew 28:19-20.

But, we are ashamed to obey the instruction and market the one we love! Why is it hard? You may say, it is a difficult market and you don’t know how to go about it. Good reason, but is it good enough to disobey your Lord?

If you can market anything even just to say that a product is good, you can market Christ. When you tell somebody what Christ has done in your life, you are already marketing Him. Your testimony is enough for the Holy Spirit to work on and save that soul. Remember you are not the one going to redeem him. Do your part and the Holy Spirit will do His part.

It is not enough to sing how you love Jesus, you need go a step further and tell people about the one you love. Will it make any difference? Sure it will, it may not be immediate but a seed has been planted and it will germinate.

Market Christ, He is the wisdom and power of God (1 Corinthians 1:24), the way, the truth and the life (John 14:6); and there is no other name by which man can be saved but by His name (Acts 4:12). Besides, you will be joyful to get to heaven and see those people there too. What joy it will be!

Jesus showed an example of marketing the one you love in a difficult market. Christ for the love He had for God, His father, endured the cross, despising the shame and sacrificed Himself for humanity. We are encouraged by Paul (Hebrews 12:2) to emulate Him.

The good news is that the grace to follow the footsteps of Christ by marketing the one we love is available if we desire it. I believe God for this grace not only for a short time but for the rest of my life, to boldly and shamelessly market Him to as many people as possible.

How about you?
