Hi, Jesus loves you.
Is it difficult to put a smile on a face? A smiling face is good for the health, relationships and success. However, sometimes it takes you for another person to have a smile on his face. Everyone needs support at one time or another to have peace, joy and success in life. This post talks about the grace to put smiles on faces.
So God has appointed some in the church [for His own use]: first apostles (special messengers); second prophets (inspired preachers and expounders); third teachers; then wonder-workers; then those with ability to heal the sick; helpers; administrators; [speakers in] different (unknown) tongues – 1 Corinthians 12:28 (AMP, emphasis mine)
Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need – Hebrews 4:16 (NKJV, emphasis mine)
But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you – John 14:26 (NKJV)
Let me start by asking this question, “Have you put a smile on someone’s face today?”
Many times, all that people need for their day to be great and successful is for someone to put a smile on their face. Sometimes, you need to go out of your way to make another person smile. A smile takes a lot of weight off people’s shoulders. It can go beyond the face to the heart, to do a thorough cleaning leaving the recipient more relaxed and hopeful than before.
If you don’t know what assignment God has for you on earth, you can start off with the ministry of helps. Actually, no matter your calling from God, everyone needs to practice the ministry of helps as a lifestyle. Go beyond the church setting and reach out to people on daily basis.
When you put a smile on a face, you are preaching the gospel of Christ, the gospel of love: you are manifesting the very nature of God. When Jesus was on earth He went about doing good (Acts 10:38), putting smiles on faces and He expects us to do likewise.
Therefore, as often as is possible, look around, see who needs your help and render it. It may be a helping hand, word of encouragement, rebuke in love, correction or financial help. It may also be a listening ear or a comforting shoulder to lean on.
In the story of Jesus in Cana of Galilee (John 2:1-11); He didn’t just turn water into wine, He manifested the grace to help. A couple ran out of wine at their wedding and embarrassment, shame and failure were looming around. Mary, the mother of Jesus saw them and ran to Jesus for help. Jesus, though He said His time had not come, out of love helped out, and the shame and failure that the enemy prepared for the couple were replaced with honour and success. Imagine how broad the bridegroom’s smile must have been!
Also, in Luke 10:25-37, the story of the good Samaritan, we see a practical example of the grace to help. The Samaritan was on a journey but he had to change his plans to help this victim of robbery. He not only spent his time but also his money to see that he put a smile on the victim’s face. And at the end of the story, Jesus admonished that you go and do likewise.
Now, you may say that you don’t have this grace that I am talking about; the good news is that you can go to the throne of grace and obtain this grace to help. It is of God so He will readily release it to you if you will only ask Him for it.
Furthermore, the Holy Spirit, the great helper is also there to help you practice the love of God through helping people. He will open your eyes to see the people you can help, even tell you what they actually need and what you can do to help them.
Alright, is there someone who needs money to go to school and you can afford to help? Do you have a friend who can teach someone a skill free of charge so he can earn a living , since he cannot afford to bear the cost of learning it elsewhere now? The list can go on and on, and the people you can help are not far from you.
In conclusion, someone out there needs your help. God has given you what you need to help out. Also, the grace to help is available, receive it and go put a smile on his face

Hello Ngozi,
Thank you for putting a smile to my questions today! I love giving and helping people! It s not that I posses too much, but I love sharing that little I have with people in needy! Like, many times I fail to pay my 10th part to the church and instead split to different peopke with different needs like widows, orphans, etc! So I sometimes feel nervous for not giving it to the church! But I feel so blessed with a praising heart when I succeed to touch other peoples’ need!
So today at least I thank God by your message and I believe that I had tried and will keep on putting smiles to other with what God is blessing me.
Thank u and may God put a smile on u as well!
Hello Eva.
I am happy to hear that you do put smiles on people’s faces. God is pleased with your giving.
You also need to give your tithe(10%) as a whole to where you are fed with God’s word.
It belongs to God, God receives it there.
Thanks for your comment and prayers.
God bless you.
