Introduction
Do you acknowledge the big God in you? A man’s greatest challenge is the evils that come from within him. This is because they defile him and make him vulnerable to attacks from the enemy. And you can’t defeat him because you habour his evils in your members, especially your thoughts.
And He said, “Whatever comes from [the heart of] a man, that is what defiles and dishonors him. For from within, [that is] out the heart of men, come base and malevolent thoughts and schemes, acts of sexual immorality, thefts, murders, adulteries, acts of greed and covetousness, wickedness, deceit, unrestrained conduct, envy and jealousy, slander and profanity, arrogance and self-righteousness and foolishness (poor judgment). All these evil things [schemes and desires] come from within and defile and dishonor the man.” – Mark 7:20-23 AMP
And these evil thoughts determine who you become, for as a man thinks in his heart so is he (Proverbs 23:7). This is so, despite what God says about you, because you’re not aligning your life with God’s word.
What God says about you
One profound thing God said in His word of you is in 1 John 4:4. And an understanding of this will change your life entirely.
Little children (believers, dear ones), you are of God and you belong to Him and have [already] overcome them [the agents of the antichrist]; because He who is in you is greater than he (Satan) who is in the world [of sinful mankind] – 1 John 4:4 AMP
The Lord said that
- You are of Him
- You belong to Him
- You have ALREADY overcome the enemy and his agents
All because He is in you and He is greater than the devil in the world.
So, when you acknowledge the big God in you, everything will turn in your favour.
The effect of your salvation
On the day of your salvation, Jesus came and dwelt within you. And He is greater than the devil, whom He created. However, until you acknowledge Him in your life, the enemy will still be buffeting you. Surely, the Lord in you is able to subdue all the evils that come from within you. However, you need to renew your mind and give Him upper hand in your life. And when you’re full of God’s word, your thoughts will be full of the word of God too. This will cause all those evil things to disappear from you and cease to defile you. Furthermore, you will become what you think, which are what God says of you.
The Big God In You
God is bigger than your enemy, and that means He’s bigger than his agents, like sickness, poverty, barrenness, etc.. And He said that because He is in you, you have ALREADY overcome them all. Now, it’s for you to think on this truth and you will become it!
- You are of God
- You belong to Him
- You have ALREADY overcome the enemy and his agents
All because He is in you and He is greater than the devil in the world.
When you’re fortified with this truth within you, you will overcome all attacks from the enemy. Every attack is from outside (The world), where the enemy, the devil, resides. So, when these attacks come against you and jam the big God in you, they will be subdued and destroyed.
Conclusion
The defeat you get as a child of the Almighty God is because you haven’t acknowledged the big God in you. This gives the enemy the room to continue to parade himself as a powerful force when he is a defeated foe. Walk in the truth, that you have already overcome him because the greater one is in you, and it shall be so.
