Is your voice heard in heaven concerning corporate issues? Many Christians spend 99% of their time praying for themselves and their immediate family members, leaving corporate issues like prayers for their community, church and nation. Sometimes, they genuinely think that their prayers will not make a difference or that somebody else is praying, but is that truly the case? This post emphasizes the need for you to pray corporate prayers too, your prayer counts before God.

So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found no one – Ezekiel 22:30 (NKJV).

“And seek the peace of the city where I have caused you to be carried away captive, and pray to the LORD for it; for in its peace you will have peace – Jeremiah 29:7 (NKJV).

Your prayer can move mountains (Mark 11:23), turn bad situations around for good. Your voice can save a nation (Ezekiel 22:30), are you using it? When things are going wrong, responsible actions are needed. One such responsible action is prayer. Prayer changes things, but who should pray? You and I! A call to pray is for every Christian, not just for the apostles, prophets, teachers, evangelists and the pastors.  Our Lord Jesus Christ said in Matthew 6:5, “when you pray” and not “if you pray”. Prayer is not optional for Christians. We are to pray for God’s kingdom to come and His will be done on earth as it is in heaven (Matthew 6:10).

Your prayer is as important as that apostle’s prayer, your prayer counts before God. It will make a big difference, once it is done in faith (Mark 11:23-24) and in line with God’s word (1 John 5:14-15). God is looking for one man to stand in the gap concerning the situation around you that is contrary to His will, so that He will not destroy the place. Will He find you? The people you think are praying may not be praying or their prayers may not be acceptable.

The tragedy of not praying is that if God’s wrath descends on the place, you will be affected too (Jeremiah 29:7). When your community, church or nation is at peace, you too will be at peace; when they prosper you too will prosper. Actually, you shouldn’t wait for a challenge to arise before you pray. Continuous prayer will keep the enemy away from your territory (Psalm 91:9-10).

Collective prayers are powerful, so adding your own voice will make it stronger. It is the collection of drops of water that makes up a river. If one will chase a thousand and two chase ten thousand when God is backing them up (Deuteronomy 32:30), it then means that as the number of people chasing increases, the number they can chase multiples.

Therefore, I encourage you to let your voice be heard in heaven crying out to God for His will to be done on earth, especially around and in you. Let your prayers count before God today.
