Hi, Jesus loves you
Why will God allow evil men to be operating in this world? There is so much wickedness in the world now that many people are wondering if God exists and is what the bible says He is. The truth is that God exists and is what the scriptures say He is; however, His goodness is what is speaking for those evil men for the time being.
Or do you despise the riches of His goodness, forbearance, and longsuffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance? – Romans 2:4 (NKJV)
The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance – 2 Peter 3:9 (NKJV)
That you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust – Matthew 5:45 (NKJV)
The wicked will surely perish (Psalm 37:20), for the wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23); they will reap whatever they sow (Galatians 6:7). However, God’s judgment sometimes seems delayed because of His goodness. It is not God’s will that any should perish, but that all will have everlasting life (John 3:16). He wants all to come to repentance. The goodness of God leads you to repentance.
God makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust because of His love and goodness. He does this to show His love and nature to humanity, while giving us time to repent and return to Him. Since the death and resurrection of Christ, mercy has been prevailing over judgment (James 2:13).
Truly we are not consumed because of His mercies (Lamentations 3:22). If God were man, we would all have perished by now; however, (thank God) the Lord’s goodness has been our shield. When you look back at your life and are honest with yourself, you will discover that you are either living a “borrowed life” or you are having what you are not supposed to have if not for the goodness of God.
Apostle Paul, by human standard, should have been condemned considering his wickedness to Christians, but God’s goodness said otherwise. The Lord’s goodness led to Paul’s repentance and to our access to all the epistles he wrote that give us deep insight into the revelation of God, His son, the Holy Spirit and the kingdom of God as a whole.
Furthermore, the servants of God that the Lord is using today to do great works for the kingdom were not saints before their conversion. Many of them have pasts that they would rather not remember again. But today they are great blessings to many people. God’s goodness leads to repentance.
The Lord is not slow concerning His promises, but is longsuffering toward us, not desiring that any should miss the best He has to offer: eternal life in heaven. However, if you despise His patience and love and refuse to repent, there will be no more sacrifice left but eternal damnation (Hebrews 10:26-27), which is not meant for you in the first place but for the devil and his agents.
Therefore, when you see wicked men escaping judgment, just know that God’s goodness is still speaking and may soon cease if they don’t repent. Also remember, that person who should be condemned today may be the savior of a nation tomorrow. God’s goodness leads you to repentance.
