Self Forgiveness-Key For a Prosperous New Year

Self Forgiveness-Key For a Prosperous New Year

I messed up and contributed to my problems. It was all my fault, things would have been better by now. I failed last year, how can I forgive myself. You must have heard or said such lamenting words before. Self-forgiveness is a necessary step to take if you are to enjoy this New Year. Self-forgiveness is a key for a prosperous New Year

Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God – 1 John 3:21.
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness – 1 John 1:9

Introduction

Anyone driving and looking back is heading for a crash. And anyone who pins someone down on the floor is going nowhere. Truly, it is good to look back and learn from the past but not dwell in it. This is because when you don’t forgive yourself for past mistakes you will hinder your progress. So, self-forgiveness is vital for you to succeed this year. Hence, don’t hold yourself down this year if you are to enjoy New Year.

What To Do

Ask God to forgive you for your wrong steps and He will forgive and forget them. And He will not hold you back on repented sins. Also, He will not stop your progress because of sins already forgiven. This is because He sees you as having done nothing when you sincerely ask for forgiveness and forsake the sin. So, see yourself as God sees you – the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.

You need to love who you are and make the most of yourself. Furthermore, exercise your strong points and develop your weak points. And don’t allow your errors to break you, instead, let them make you. Also, develop the right attitude towards you to enjoy a prosperous new year.

Amend whatever error you can and leave those you can’t do anything about in the past. In addition, plead the blood of Jesus and for God’s mercy and move on. You must realize that as a human being, you are liable to errors. If you’ve never made mistakes then you’ve never taken responsibility for anything. This is worse.

The Truth

Am I making light of wrongs done? No, not at all. But then, what has happened has happened. So, there is no need to cry over spilled milk. Self forgiveness, key for a prosperous New Year, is a necessary step to take for you to make progress this year. And God certainly wants you to make progress. For He has made your path to shine brighter and brighter. However, He needs your co-operation.

You may say, “you don’t know the things I did’. However, it doesn’t matter what you did, for God will forgive you and forget them when you repent and ask for forgiveness.  Now, the question is “have you forgiven yourself?” So, sit down, acknowledge and take responsibility for your mistakes, and forgive yourself. Then, analyze and learn from it, seek ways to avoid the reoccurrence of the mistakes. And apply them, and THEN MOVE ON.

Conclusion

There are mountains to be subdued, victories to be won, people to be loved, and success paths to be created this year. They are waiting for you.  As such, self forgiveness, key for a prosperous New Year, is a must for this year. Are you set? You can make it. I wish you God’s grace and a Prosperous New Year.
