Easter-Christ's resurrection

Hi, Jesus loves you.

Hallelujah! Easter celebration again! Do you really know why you celebrated? What does Christ’s death and resurrection mean to you? This post aims at giving you a better reason for celebrating Easter- Christ is God’s escape route.

And though the Lord gives you the bread of adversity and the water of affliction, yet your teachers will not be moved into a corner anymore, but your eyes shall see your teachers. Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it,” whenever you turn to the right hand or whenever you turn to the left – Isaiah 30:20-21 (NKJV)

Many people have different reasons why they celebrate during this period; for some it’s a work free day and that’s all. But Easter celebration is much more than that. It is a time we remember how God orchestrated our salvation. Jesus is God’s wisdom and power (1 Corinthians 1:24).

Adam’s sin against God opened up the way for sin to have dominion over man. But Christ’s death and resurrection opened up God’s escape route for man. If the enemy knew he wouldn’t have killed Jesus (1 Corinthians 2:8). Hallelujah, the devil doesn’t know everything, but our God does! (Hebrews 4:13)

Sin comes with consequences which must take their due course. The wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ (Romans 6:23). This death includes untold challenges and ultimately damnation forever.

But God sent Jesus to redeem us from our sins and all the consequences that follow, so that if you receive Him, it becomes a reality in your life. For God so love the world that He gave His only son that if you believe in Him you will not perish but have eternal life (John 3:16).

God is ever ready to set you on the right track again when you err. He wants you to keep enjoying His righteousness, peace and joy (Romans 14:17). It is a continuous thing, not a one-off thing. God’s awesome love! God will spank you with one hand and pet you with the other. You see people coming to advice you, help or favour you, make good comments, etc., it’s God sending them.

Your teachers will not be far from you, God said (Isaiah 30:20). You will hear those words telling you what to do, many times contrary to what your flesh, your head wants; that’s God showing you a way of escape. He says to you “I am the lord, I change not. What I do for one I will do for another.”

Through Jesus, grace and mercy abound. The question is “will you accept his out-stretched hands and receive his embrace?’ There are always two ways before you and Jesus is always near-by hoping that you will turn to his way that he may lead you beside the still waters and restore you (Psalm 23:2).

No matter how far you may have gone on the wrong path, Christ’s way is still there to help you get back on the right track.  You will surely hear a word saying to you this is the way! You can make a u-turn today.

As you are reading this now, you know what God is saying to you. Choose Christ’s way, and victory and restoration will be yours today. Compliments of the season
