Hi, Jesus loves you

Are you ready for what must surely come? We are always preparing for good or bad consciously or unconsciously. That we will leave this earth one day indeed is a life truth. The question is “how ready are you?
Take us the foxes, the little foxes, that spoil the vines: for our vines have tender grapes – SOS 2:15

Again, When a righteous man doth turn from his righteousness, and commit iniquity, and I lay a stumbling-block before him, he shall die: because thou hast not given him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he hath done shall not be remembered; but his blood will I require at thine hand – Ezekiel 3:20 (Emphasis is mine)

Recently, in one week, I watched 2 programmes talking about people’s readiness for eternity without my planning for it. It got my mind racing. I had to examine and re-examine myself.

In one account, a Pastor died and had the privilege of seeing both heaven and hell. At the end the angel accompanying him told him that, had he not asked for God’s mercy and forgiveness before dying, hell would have been his judgement. The Pastor tried to refute it, claiming to be a pastor and to have preached about heaven and hell. But the angel reminded him that prior to his accident he quarrelled with his wife and did not forgive her.

The life truth is that many people may not have the last minute opportunity to ask for forgiveness before dying like the Pastor. He may have been very ready before the quarrel. Last minute disobedience can cost you a place in heaven. How ready are you?

The second account was a movie, where the princess (the righteous) felt that the prince (Jesus) was long coming back and that he would not fulfil his promise to return and take her to the palace. She decided to go and enjoy herself in the world only for the prince to return and find her already defiled. The prince left her and returned back to his kingdom.

The life truth is that Jesus will surely return to take the saints home. How ready are you? You must have heard people mock the preaching of the return of Jesus. They say that this message and warning has been for ages and it has not yet happened. Whether people believe or not, God’s word and plan cannot be changed. Jesus is coming soon. The handwritings are on the wall, for those who would understand to see.

There will be surprises on the last day, as God’s word had said. What will make a believer miss heaven may not be a “big sin”. It will be “little foxes” like un-forgiveness (like the pastor’s case above), bitterness, love for money, comparison with others, fornication, envy, jealousy, anger etc.

There is no big or small sin. Sin is sin no matter what it is or who is committing it. The life truth is that no one knows when Jesus will return. But He said it can be any time, like a thief in night. How ready are you? We should live everyday expecting Him to come any second from now. This attitude will certainly save us from every temptation.

Nobody or anything is worth going to hell. Heaven is real AND hell is real. Some people may ask you, “how sure are you that there is hell?” Ask them, “what if there is?” I rather live for Christ now and find out later that that there is no hell (I believe that there is hell) than to live unrighteously, only to find out that there is hell.

Are you ready? What judgement are you prepared to receive from the Almighty? Praise God, there is still this second to make amend if you are not ready. Take advantage of it and be ready. CLICK HERE
